MY ASICS Run Training App Reviews

Overall Solid

Ive used many apps to track my running. This one is not as complicated or advanced as the others; that is good. Its simplistic approach is just what I need. That said, it would be nice to have a few enhancements. Such as a halfway notification, the ability to move a scheduled run to another day, and miles ran out to two decimal places.

Great!

Im not a distance runner at all and friends and friends of friends were constantly giving me training advice to the point I was confused. This app has taken the confusion out of my training plan! I cant wait to see the final results!

Its ok, I started using it for half training

Someone said you could change long run days. I dont see that option..wish it paused when you stop (a lot of traffic lights on my route)..I like the half marathon training plan. Did a 4.5 mi run yesterday saw it logged but today its gone. All it all it works, but I still have to run my Nike plus to log the runs

Good app

This app keeps me on schedule and thats what I need. I am just starting to "run", so Im walking /jogging/ walking..., it would be nice to put down my increments. Soon I should be able to go further without a walk, but at this time in my "career" it would be nice.

It is basic but works well

This app doesnt have a lot of tricks. Does not sync with others, doesnt work with heart rate monitors, just gps. For that purpose it works very well. Update adds voice guidance, a step up now. Getting interval updates brings this up a notch.

Great App

Tracks your progress and gives you a regiment to follow.

Good app, couple small bugs

I like the app but it has a few small problems. I would like it to show the plan even when I run the miles on a different day.

Great App

I love that it gives you the option to enter a goal time for any distance and the app creates a plan to help you reach that. Good feature! Im currently using this app and its plan instead of the Nike Run app for an upcoming race this time around.

Not bad

Not bad, a little conservative in mile timing.

Great App, removes thinking

Used for 2015 NYC marathon training...enter the data & follow the suggested plan...no thinking involved...it will adjust suggested pace as you train based on data you enter

Perfect for Beginners

I used this app just to start getting back into running and it has been great for me so far. The options to create a plan based on current ability is great, and it automatically syncs to the MyAsics website which allows you to go into greater detail about each run. I havent had any issues at all with it!

Great App

Easy to follow for new/inexperienced runners. Also is flexible with the plan

Great!

Helps give you a great plan!

Doesnt always work

The app is good when it works. I have had issues when I start my run it doesnt record the run which is discouraging. The plans that in the app seem to be good.

Great running ap

Whether trying to get back into running or training for a race, this ap helps all the way. Have been using to do both and Im on track and running better than ever.

Great for all runners!

Great app, very happy with the plan I have for my 5k.

Best running app ever!!

Thank you Asics!! I love this app, it is essential, easy to use, and visually enjoyable.

Good concept. Room for improvement

The app has a nice intuitive feel to it. But there are some glaring shortcomings that do not appear to be addressed in a timely manner. For example, the miles and km toggle switch doesnt work well. It keeps switching back to miles even after being changed to km in the settings page. Its very irritating when one is primed for a run and pace, split feedbacks and voice prompts are set to the wrong benchmark. Another glaring error is that the feedback button on the settings page doesnt work. That is super frustrating for fans who are trying to reach the developers and are looking to contribute to its improvement. Please keep adding to the good work and improve the app.

Great app

Love the training

Meets basic training needs very well

Im a fair to middling runner (50 y.o. woman) whose day job regularly gets in the way of keeping fit so more often than I care to admit, I need to start training from zero. When I sign up for a distance run, this is my go to app. I dont like how I have to log in on my laptop to edit mistakes, but everything is a compromise, no? I really like the app interface and ease of use when out on a run, it meets my needs very well.
